WY Brass Social Distancing on the East Coast

West Yorkshire Brass have finally got the hang of social distancing:- Musical Director in the bandstand at Crescent Gardens, Filey. Cornets in Scarborough, Horns, Baris and Euphs in Brid, Bones and Basses in Whitby. I think the percussionist is 40 miles away in York.

But then there are those who think the percussionist should always be 40 miles away!!!

WE’RE NOT ALL OLD CODGERS!

West Yorkshire Brass are delighted to have recruited their youngest member yet. Joining the band during Lockdown (so we haven’t met him yet) is Harry Duguid ~ pronounced Duggudd (I’m already in trouble with his Grandma Linda because I pronounced it Doogood).

Welcome Harry – I didn’t know where to locate you on the MEMBERS tab so I found an empty slot on 2nd cornet for the time being. We’re all looking forward to meeting you.

PS. Is ‘Lockup’ the opposite of ‘Lockdown?’ Probably not. No doubt I’ll be in trouble for that too!

Another Empty Seat Bites The Dust

Even Lockdown can’t slow the recruitment process, with Mary Binns joining the West Yorkshire Brass Tenor Horn Section.

Mary has played with the band on odd occasions in the past, and we are delighted she has chosen to join us on a permanent basis. Well done Mary and Welcome.
