Sad News For We Who Remember Him

The longer serving members of the band are saddened this week to hear of the passing of the bands inaugural President, Bill Howard. He was a much respected and highly regarded founder member.

RIP Bill.

A PACKED HOUSE TO END THE YEAR

The West Yorkshire Brass final concert of 2022 at St. Andrew’s Church, Undercliffe, provided takings in excess of £1,200 which were donated to the church.

The concert of popular light and Christmas music, included festive contributions from the various youth organisations based at the church, and ranged from Rocking Around the Christmas Tree to Lord of the Dance, Good King Wenceslas to My Fair Lady and Let it Snow to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, was applauded at length by a packed audience which left no seat unoccupied.

By coincidence, our next concert is at the same venue in May of 2023, when the band will showcase a whole new program of music for our summer season. So, here’s to the next four months of intense rehearsals! And, we hope, yet another packed house!!!

THAT’S IT!

No more rehearsals before our Christmas concert at St. Andrew’s on Saturday.

I know I promised to publish the program.

But like all good concert progs, it maybe subject to the odd last minute tweak.

One thing’s for certain, my money’s on not being able to name Yonder Peasant yet again!
