WY BRASS SAYS “Goodbye” TO A LEGEND

It is with great sadness that West Yorkshire Brass has to report the passing of a great friend, musician and Band President Duncan Brown.
Duncan passed away peacefully on 8th May with all his family with him.
He will be greatly missed by us all and will leave a void in the band.
Rest in Peace DUNCAN

ANOTHER SUCCESS FOR OUR BETTY

Every year, West Yorkshire Brass 2nd. Tenor Horn player Betty Emberton organises a dinner for band members and their guests at Cleckheaton Golf Club, Bradford.
Our 2023 event was held on Friday 14th April and attendees packed the dining room to feast on an excellent three course menu provided by staff at the club.

Betty – On behalf of all attending WY Brass members and their guests – We thank you!

TROMBONES TO THE FORE

West Yorkshire Brass is pleased to announce the addition of a new member to the Trombone Section. Joanne Relton (A famous brass band surname but no relation to Bill, I think) joins the band on 2nd. Trombone to sit alongside Max.

Welcome to West Yorkshire Brass, Joanne.

3rd. Cornet Players Are Like Buses

When you need one, two come along at the same time.
Having welcomed Ann Coates to a 3rd. Cornet seat within the last month, Alan Dunkley has now joined the band to sit alongside Ann.
Welcome Alan. We hope you have a great time playing with West Yorkshire Brass.
