West Yorkshire Brass invited to play at 75th Anniversary of VE DAY in Worlaby

As part of their three days of celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day in May 2020, residents of Worlaby, North Lincolnshire, have invited West Yorkshire Brass to perform at Worlaby Village Hall. It is hoped the weather will permit a ‘Party in the Park’ style event (bring your own tables, chairs, gazebos, drinks and snacks). The programme is expected to reflect some music from the 1940s era.

DUE TO THE OUTBREAK OF THE CORONAVIRUS THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

West Yorkshire Brass AGM in Brief

Members of West Yorkshire Brass held their Annual General Meeting at 7.45pm on Tuesday 7th January 2020.

Reports from the Secretary, Treasurer and Musical Director were presented revealing the band to be ‘in good health‘ both musically and financially.

Proposals were made and voted upon unanimously to retain all those members who held official posts during 2019 for a further year.

At time of going to press, the band has engagements booked for 2020 which number well into double figures, with several more annual engagement dates still to be confirmed.

IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A BUSY 2020 AHEAD
